History is weird. If you look at all those paintings of ancient city streets, there are no sidewalks to be found, not for hundreds of years until modern times. You’d think they’d of thought of it sooner. After all, it’s a pretty concrete idea.
Well, we had three family emergencies in the Coley household this week. Everything and everyone is just fine now, but it’s been an adventure. Without going into details, we experienced police activity, firefighter visits, drone operators, search dogs (okay, just one of those), ambulances, two doctor visits (one with X-rays), and side-by-sides all over the place. And all that is before the flooding starts, which is expected in our town today. Again, everything worked out and everyone is just fine now. A big thank you to our local public servants and medical providers. You were all awesome! But no offense, I would prefer not to do this again. Ever.
So just know, dear readers, that this link is a little smokier than the others because it’s been through fire. Still tasty, though.
