(Use with caution.)
Your mom is so dumb she uses a compass to find westerns on TV.
I don’t write a lot of mom jokes because people love their moms. You never know when you’re going to strike a nerve. (Sometimes jokes can be too true.) That having been said, I wrote a mom joke. The interesting thing to me is the difference between boys and girls when you tell it to them. Most girls take it good heartedly, and may crack a smile, but they don’t really laugh, at least not always. Boys, however, totally crack up. Somehow, a good mom joke can make their whole day. I always preface a mom joke with, “I’ve got a mom joke for you.” Anyway, I’ve got some links for you. 👇👇👇
These are my three spookiest books for the spooky season. Most of my titles are a little spooky, but these three really lean into it. BLOODY BONES is a straight up haunted house cautionary tale. THE GHOST OF DREAM GULLY is pretty much a ghost story. I’m not into subtlety. TICKLED TO DEATH is a dark humor poetry book for kids with funny epitaphs. They are all appropriate for middle grade readers (4th - 8th grade).
I’ve just started a subscription service over at LaterPress. If you’re interest in my work for kids, you can subscribe for two bucks a month or twenty dollars a year. It’s all there in ebook format. Either choice is a pretty deep discount. They use Stripe as the payment service, which is perfectly secure. I would tell you more about it, but I have no idea how it works yet. Anyway, if you’re interest in supporting my work, just go to the link below and search up good old Jon Coley. All my stuff for kids is there plus my one YA story. 👇👇👇
Now back to your regularly scheduled program already in progress …
And I said I wanted a second opinion. And he said, “Okay, you’re ugly too.” Now, what you swiped your dumb mom’s credit card to get a Saturday subscription for - all my social media posts for the week in one e-locale. Goes great with any coffee from decaf to Irish. Yum!
Until Next Time, God Bless!
