I was on a road trip with my wife when I accidentally made a wrong turn that ruined the whole trip. It was a turn of phrase.
Yesterday, we had some weird weather. A squall line came in just after 7 AM, complete with heavy sideways rain and oak tree bending winds. And what came in behind it? Nothing. It was immediately a bright, sunny day. The temps climbed into the high 70s in the middle of February. There’s got to be some kind of old wives tale about this stuff. Anybody ever heard of it? For heaven’s sake, if we say that the devil is beating his wife when we’ve got rain on one side of the road and sun on the other, there must be some kind of a cool legend about yesterday’s weather.
