I’ve got three things on the agenda for today. Two are apologies of sorts and one is that shameless self promotion thing, although I think that last one is a bit of a misnomer.
Anyway, first I must apologize about the podcast. I promised you a podcast with a free audiobook and I still have nothing to show for it. For that I am truly sorry. It will still happen. Oh, I tried last weekend to get the proverbial ball rolling. The kids started making all kinds of racket. The dogs (a Great Dane and a Husky, no less) started playing right next to me. I got several phone calls in mid read. Frustrated, I came to the realization that I was unprepared to record the podcast, so I shoved it to the back burner and, of course, everything got and stayed quiet. Rest assured (I know you were worried) the podcast is still going to happen AND it will begin with the audiobook. I will be bringing THE FISH CREEK FORUM VOLUME 1 to your ears quite soon.
Apology number two - I’m sorry to all my friends on my personal social media page. Yes, I barraged you every day with a promo for my new book. No, I do not intend to continue the visual assault. In the past, I’ve always kept my personal and author accounts somewhat separate, except when launching a new title. Well, I’ve kept to that practice, but decided to let my friends in on the entire launch. Not gonna lie, I’m probably going to do it again, but that is months away.
Okay, let’s talk about that “shameless self promo” thing. First of all, I’m not promoting myself. I’m promoting my books. Many authors get what’s called “imposter syndrome.” I’ve had a little touch of it myself when promoting my nonfiction work. But an author’s books are his brain babies. What kind a parent doesn’t brag about his kids? Shouldn’t a parent want his kids to do well? See, it’s not so shameless or self promoting after all. With that in mind, I am happy to announce that my Middle Grade Horror book, BLOODY BONES, is available far and wide for your reading pleasure. It’s a good haunted house scare! So to wrap things up, I’m going to post the blurb and the book cover below. As always, the links to my work are in the subtitle above. I’m throwing in the podcast logo too.
Two young teens decided to go on an adventure …
They dare to investigate the local haunted house …
The Weimer estate lies a few miles outside of town …
It is surrounded by an ancient, foreboding stone wall. Behind the gate, a lone grave with an elaborate headstone and an iron cage covering its owner’s final resting place gives warning to all those foolish enough to trespass. Winston and Gabby believe they are prepared for anything that could possibly happen between those four walls. But can they survive what lies beneath?
