A funny thing happened on my way to wherever. So what did I do? I sent my self a text of course. Let’s back up a little. This week, most of my promos (check out yesterday’s roundup) concerned my humor books. If you’ve ever wondered how people sit down and write jokes, I’m afraid that I’ve no earthly idea. I’ve never done that. You see, jokes and funny things or situations are always around us. The key is to live your life and be opened to what’s around you. It also helps to have a sense of humor. I suppose there is a little more to it than that, but rest assured, it’s not magic.
Christmas vacation is coming soon, so hopefully I’ll begin writing the first draft of WHITE. The main characters have been named (usually one of the hardest things for me), and a rough seven point plot has been outlined. I’m looking forward to it. Also, I hope to record two or three more episodes of my podcast/audiobook. It’s an experience reliving your old stories!

Hi Jon: I do books too, but none are on Amazon. And they are all free. I serially publish everything on my Substack, one chapter at a time. I'll reach a million words by the end of the month.
Most are my translations from Russian or Chinese, because it is astounding to find: Well, Other cultured don't think the same as we do!! Why they haven't been translated to English already, I couldn't say. Call it propaganda if you must. But the rest of the world has a satisfying life too.
The subjects are mostly ancient Eurasian history and a theory of Ethnogenesis. It is not about the cold war or anything. There are plenty of other sites that handle all of that. You find that we are now repeating all the mistakes from 1,000's of years.
My current project is from a Chinese cultural Anthropologist, who is the director of the Max Planck Institute for Social Anthropology in Halle, Germany. I am so impressed by his display of intellect, not a long book either. I am uploading it this month in 10 short segments.
