You’ve got to respect railroad workers. No matter how tough times get, they always find a way to make ends meet.
In author news, there are quite a few little things going on, but to most it would look kind of like a bunch of ants running around after their hill has been disturbed. In others words, there is a purpose to it all, but no big event is standing out. The AI lawsuit is back in progress, but far fewer authors are going to benefit from it than originally thought. (Couldn’t see that one coming from ten miles away.) There are several end of year writing conferences coming up, which is cool, but there’s no clear and present reason for readers to get excited. So on and so forth, folks; rinse and repeat. Don’t get me wrong, a lot of this stuff is (or will be) important. It’s just going to be a while before it will become something worth talking about.
You still here? I didn’t lose you yet, did I? I’d better make this quick.
On the writing front, I regret to inform you that there has been absolutely no progress on my current WIP. Our daughter has kept her mother and myself quite busy as she has been recovering from her surgery. She’s doing well, but I think I need vacation. Also, I’m approaching the climax of the story, the big battle, so it needs to be done right. The jokes for kids book is now eighteen pages long, so I haven’t been too lazy this week. Finally, there are a whopping 96 redneck memes in the queue. We’re only four jokes away from beginning the formatting process! Unless I have a brain aneurysm, REDNECK LINGO THE FOURTH will be out and about by year’s end.
Until Next Time, God Bless!
