This is the last weekend of my summer break. In some areas, teachers are already back in the schools getting their classrooms ready. It’s still going to be way too hot out there, but fall is on its way, which is a good thing. Quite honestly, I’m really needing some college football.
In the publishing industry, the big news is that Findaway Voices will soon be no more. It was bought by some little company called Spotify. What does this mean for you? Probably that there’s going to be a lot more audiobooks available on the app, both human and AI narrated. I’m planning on uploading my AI narrated audiobooks in August or September. My human narrated books are exclusive, meaning you can only find them on Audible or iTunes. Things are changing fast.
Let’s talk about the big sale. This is the final weekend of the SMASHWORDS SUMMER/WINTER SALE. All my ebooks are at least half off, and four of them are absolutely FREE. 📚SMASHWORDS SUMMER WINTER SALE📚
On the writing front, I’ve drafted chapters thirteen and fourteen of MoonDom Five. We’re at a little over eleven thousand words. Unfortunately, due to my obsession with a social studies course this summer, it looks like the first draft will not be complete before break is over. That’s ok, though. For me, the hardest part is usually the static friction of getting the story going, and it’s already going quite well. There are sixty-one redneck memes in the queue and fourteen full pages of jokes for kids as well. I’m not making it a goal, but it looks like REDNECK LINGO THE FOURTH just may be available by Christmas time.
You guys enjoy the rest of your summer. The days are going to start getting shorter soon. Who know what’s going to happen with Daylight Saving Time this year?
