Lifeguards rescued a blond woman who nearly drowned at the lake yesterday. After the incident, she thanked them profusely and mentioned that she should take swimming lessons. They asked her why in the world would she be in the middle of the lake if she couldn’t swim. She told them that she had always heard it was so much fun to skip stones on the water.
Today’s news is really more on the author side, but I think the trickle down effect will hit readers sooner rather than later. Spotify’s audiobook website for authors is now integrating Eleven Labs, which is arguably the best AI voice producer in the business. This means that authors will be able to produce AI audiobooks rather seamlessly and quickly quite soon. Readers, you just thought the audiobook flood gates have opened. Well, you ain’t seen nothing yet.

On the writing front, we are still on page 38 (though closer to the bottom of it) of the current jokes for kids project. Looks like we are still on track for an end-of-year release. Chapter 6 of Squash Light has been drafted, and our 3 main characters now have a huge, orange, luminescent problem.
