I was walking along a barbed wire fence the other day, and I saw a cute little bunny casually hopping by. But when it got to the fence, it took off. Post haste.
Amazon made a liar out of me this week. Twice. I wasn’t out on a limb; barely even got off the ground in the proverbial tree. But I ended up telling two lies that I must now explain to you through the egg on my face.
Lie #1: I boldly proclaimed that companies were too busy chasing holiday sales to be releasing any new innovations. Oh but no. Amazon announced the Beta program for its AI translations. Soon authors will be putting their books out in Spanish and German authors will be selling their books to us English readers.
Lie #2: (This one hurts.) I had my new joke book on preorder for 99 cents. Well, turns out that there are too many graphics to keep the price so low, even with the lower royalty threshold. This is a new development that I did not see coming. I’m sure they posted and sent emails. But who reads those? Long story short, REDNECK LINGO THE FOURTH is still on preorder (and ready to go), but the price has been moved to $2.99 way ahead of time. Here’s your link along with my heartfelt apology. 👇👇👇

On the writing front, REDNECK LINGO THE FOURTH has been completely formatted and uploaded to Amazon. The paperback and hardcover formatting work has begun. These will be available when the book goes live as well. We are at 20 pages of jokes for kids, which is a little ahead of schedule. MoonDom Five is currently at 24,133 words with chapter Twenty-Seven complete. We’re getting close to finishing up the first draft. Looks like the book will have about 30 chapters in total.
On a personal note, my daughters’ health issues that began early in the fall are resolving quite well for now. My older daughter finally had her cast removed and is getting round without all that titanium in her foot. My youngest’s scans are clear, and now she will be scheduled at 6 month intervals. Our family is truly blessed with excellent health care for our kiddos and with friends that cover them in prayers. Thank you to all that have done so, and thank God for all of it.
