Well, it’s been a week. The northern lights visited us for the weekend, a once in a lifetime opportunity. If you missed it, at least you got some sleep. Put a point on the board for the night owls. Sometimes blessings come out of nowhere.
WHITE is underway. The first draft of the first chapter is complete. It’s following a new format (for me). Each chapter will come in two parts, one from the point of view of the protagonist, and then from the antagonist. I’m hoping this will create a sense of tension in the story. We shall see.
Quite honestly, I’m surprised I got so much done this week. I am what’s referred to as “teacher tired.” May is a hard time for teachers. It’s death by a thousand paper cuts. Pray for teachers over the next couple of weeks. Trust me, they need it.
Pity party aside, I did some creative work too. From time to time, it’s a good idea to revamp book covers. I use Canva for most of my titles. Note, this isn’t always a good idea. If you have the money, you should invest in a professional design. This does, however, depend on the genre. I believe you could sell romance with a picture of a doorknob for the cover. Anyway, I thought I’d post some before and after pics. For a sneak peek of these titles, click the links below.
Until next time, God Bless.
