Happy Easter! The most important day of every year. In commemoration of the holiday, let’s talk about Jesus. Relax, it’s not a sermon. Just wanted to send a couple of nuggets of info your way.
We often talk about the fact (and it is an irrefutable fact) that He rose on the third day, but we never talk about why it was the third day. While there are probably a myriad of reasons, two stand out. You see, the resurrection didn’t happen in a vacuum. Many ancient near east nations had a belief that certain “travelers” took three days to get from the underworld to our realm. Of course, these were just spirits. Jesus returned fully living. That’s kind of a poke in the eye to them on our behalf. The other reason is that it was Passover and the Sabbath. He was faithful to His Father and He rested on that day, which began on Friday evening at sunset. Bright and early Sunday morning, He changed the world forever. Now, THAT’S how you tell a story!
On the writing front, things are finally about to kick into gear. Spring Break approaches, and my current WIP, WHITE, is on the table. The research has been done for quite a while, and a basic outline is ready to go. I should be able to get an episode or two of my FREE AUDIOBOOK recorded too. Meanwhile, my latest humor title is available on Amazon.
