An error was corrected this week. No, I didn’t give up writing, but I did pare down my catalog. I unpublished three of my joke books. When I first published them, I wanted to keep them short (about 50 pages) so that reluctant readers would be, well, less reluctant. Eventually the books were compiled into one tome within my Draft2Digital titles. Once this happened, I realized that the one book (to rule them all) was a far better product. Those three little joke books held a special place in my heart, but I knew what I had to do. As of today, ARE YOU KIDDING ME? is available through both of my distributors (wherever books are sold, BTW). This is to make a less complicated and confusing customer experience.
Oh, did I mention they are both available in hardcover?
Speaking of customers, most of mine happen to be someone’s mom. I don’t sell my work to kids. It’s mostly sold to their mothers who happen to give the books to their little crumb snatching would-be young readers. This means I need a new mindset, which can be daunting. You see, if I told everything I know about women in a post, it would probably be blank, even though I’ve been married to one for about three decades. However, I am going to try to make the reading/shopping experience better for them and anybody else who is considering my work. I’m truly grateful for you all.
