Let’s talk about Free Books.
I sent out a bonus newsletter a few days ago because I was so excited that most of my titles are finally on Hoopla, a library service. I feel that I should elaborate.
Okay-If you have a library card, you can read my ebook titles for FREE using the Hoopla App and the Libby App. There are other Library apps out there, but these are the two most common. (I have my titles available in library systems around the world now, but I’m not going to get into the weeds here.)
Please do consider using this. I’m happy to have my books out there, free to anyone.
Now let’s talk about more Free books.
My titles are also available on subscription services. KoboPlus and Scribd (via the Everand App) have my titles available to their members for Free. If you’re a reader who’s on the fence about which service to use, I would recommend KoboPlus because it’s cheaper than Kindle Unlimited and gets you access to audiobooks. (Full disclosure-I personally use KU, but that’s only because it comes with my Prime account.)
Moving on to paperbacks.
All but two of my titles, which I plan to discuss in a future newsletter, are available in paperback wherever books are sold. You can order them through booksellers’ websites. They can order them for you. It’s even remotely possible to have them stocked on bookstore shelves, though unlikely. You could always ask and recommend-just saying.
Finally we get to hardcover books.
As of now, most my titles are available in hardcover exclusively through Amazon. This is not because of anything nefarious on their part. Though I sometimes have a problem with the company’s practices, they are genuinely providing the best value for reading customers in this regard. There are other options on the horizon, and I will keep you posted because I can tell you’re on the edge of your seat right now.
