Welcome to June. Summer is in full swing. It may be a little too cold to swim for some of you, but the power bill is way better. No worries, we’ll all be complaining about the heat in a few weeks.
Let’s talk about price hikes. I’ve got until June 10th to raise my paperback book prices due to new Amazon policies. Check out my previous newsletters for more on that. The long and short of it is that some of my paperback titles are going to have to go up a little bit. The Zon is pushing $9.99, but I’m not sure about that. If I can keep my usual margins, I’ll eat the royalty cut and only raise the price by a buck or two. Either way, the prices are going up next week. I hate to do it. (Wasn’t planning on doing all this math over my summer break.) Anyway, if you want to lock in the lower prices, click on the Amazon link in the subtitle above and check them out while you can.
Again, this is only paperback books. Hardbacks and ebooks should still be the same low price for the foreseeable future.
On the writing front - chapter 4 of MoonDom Five was completed this past week. I’m a little under four thousand words for the current WIP. While I was trying to experiment with plot formats, it would appear that I’m going to be a discovery writer, aka pantser, this time around. Go figure.
