I’m getting tired of my books. They’re always on my case.
Just phoning this one in today. There’s not a lot of news, which is probably a good thing. Most of the author community, which is a bunch of people who generally sit alone and talk to themselves, is still processing the Amazon news I wrote about in the last newsletter. Basically, people like me, who try to keep their books as inexpensive as possible, are going to have to raise some of their paperback prices by mid June. That’s it. That’s the news. So in short, I hope you enjoy your Memorial Day weekend.

On the writing front, not much. I’m still recovering from all the end-of-the-year trauma. (Only fifth grade teachers truly understand that statement. All teachers get it, but it hits different in fifth grade, depending on the group of kids.) A few jokes have been jotted down. One redneck meme was thought up and forgotten, forever lost to the ether. But fear not, my friends. Chapter 4 of my current WIP will be written by this week’s end. I’ve got two days of post planning, which is really packing up and jumping through administrative hoops, and summer break begins. I’m excited to get this one drafted!
