There may be a change of plans.
I’m not sure if going on a helicopter ride is such a good idea.
It’s still up in the air, though.
I’ve got big news for all you avid readers that some of you are sure to enjoy. The book retailer, Kobo, is teaming up with Story Graph. Not to be outdone, Everand (the app name for Scribd) is teaming up with Fable. What does this mean for you? Community. Now readers can seamlessly track the books they’ve read as well as take part in book groups, all within one pre-setup ecosystem. A lot of people already prefer apps like Fable and Story Graph over social media groups, so some of you are really going to like this new development. Somewhat related to this, Amazon is actually updating Goodreads after nearly 20 years of Susan Lucci style neglect (it’s the one thing I know about soap operas). Perhaps they are seeing the proverbial writing on the wall. Either way, several companies are taking steps to serve you better.
My latest ebook title, 🌗MoonDom FiVe🌓 is on sale through tomorrow via a Kobo Promotion. It’s actually on the carousel under the “Exciting Kids Ebooks” section! That blew my mind. Usually my stuff, if I’m lucky enough to even be selected, is way down the list. A big THANK YOU to Kobo for moving it up there where potential readers can see it.
On the writing front, we are well into page 39 of the current jokes for kids project. Things often slow down in the summer, but they don’t stop. I finished drafting chapter 9 of Squash Light a few days ago. Also, I released an omnibus this past week. My two folk horror titles for middle grade readers are both pretty short, so I combined them into one book called SOLSTICES. It’s available everywhere but Amazon, but that’s a slight on them. I wanted those two stories to be available on bookshop.org . I’ll show you the cover at the bottom of the newsletter.
Until Next Time, God Bless!
