Going straight to the writing front today. My current work-in-progress, WHITE, is almost there! I just finished the first half of chapter 16 yesterday afternoon. It’s looking like there’s going to be about eighteen in total. Truth is, I could finish it today if I really wanted. I won’t be doing that because, you know, life. However, I’m at that part where it’s really fun and exciting to write! Here comes the subscribe button.
So the first draft will be done quite soon. What’s next? Well, while I’m going through the first edit, which involves cleaning up the clunkiness and adding multi-sensory details to bring the story to life, there are some fun things to put out into the world. As I’ve been writing, I’ve chronicled my progress with a storyboard on Pinterest. I plan to use those graphics to make the book trailer. It’s my first time making a trailer this way, but I think it’ll be pretty cool. What? You haven’t seen my Pinterest storyboard? Here comes the link!
Anyway, there will be three edits in total and then it’s time to put the book out for preorder. This will be another first time deal for me because I want to get a street team together. More about that in a few weeks.
WHITE brings several of my earlier titles together in a nice little imaginary world. I talked about that in a previous newsletter. One thing that I did not notice, though, was that my fiction seems to broken down into two worlds. Basically I have one mini-verse (yeah, I’m coining that term) that has been recognized by the Firebird Book Awards, and my other mini verse has been noticed by the Outstanding Creator Awards. Y’all, that was totally by accident! Here are the links to the first mini-verse in question.

So WHITE will be book five in the mini-verse. Who knows, there may be a special edition in the future. It’s just an idea for now.
