Happy Sunday! I hope everyone enjoyed Veterans Day. It’s one of the most important days of the year, and I believe that it is one of the traditions that sets our nation apart from the rest of the world.
On the writing front, research on the current work in progress is gearing down, and outlining will soon be gearing up. I have the four main characters pretty much solidified in my psyche, but my story format is a bit sketchy. Lately I’ve been using the four part story structure, which I like for its simplicity. However, that one is usually meant for horror, and that’s not what this book will be about. Sure, it’s dark fantasy, but not horror. The more en vogue seven point story structure seems to be more promising.
Okay, I’m getting out of the weeds now. I would like to make a minor announcement. This past week, I decided to reopen my Pinterest account. If you’re interested, just lookup >joncoley< in the old search bar. To be honest, you’re just going to find what I put in my WEEKEND ROUNDUP for now. I am, however, considering making a storyboard of my next book on it.
There’s a fifty/fifty chance of me getting the second installment of the free audiobook rolled out this week. Those odds are little better than usual. Please be patient. You can write with a little noise and activity around you, but you can’t make a decent audio recording that way. I will get this done, though, because I think it’s the right thing to do for any potential readers.
