Why Am I Apolitical?

Well, I’m not apolitical. I have my politics and have known to be fairly politically active from time to time. However, the country is often divided roughly in half among party lines. Why would I want to alienate half of my potential readers? As parents, why would you want some author indoctrinating your children in any political persuasion? I imagine that most of you, no matter which party you belong to, would prefer to be in charge of such things.

My Middle Grade stories are in the Fantasy/Adventure genre. They often involve a little magic and a few supernatural creatures. I also like to incorporate a few life lessons too. For example, my latest book, THE WESTERN WEIRD, helps kids learn to deal with bullies. My first book, THE CURSE OF MR. M’S CASTLE, promotes the value of friendship.
